D3D Theater Opens in Times Square NYC
Wednesday, May 12, 2010
D3D Cinema is proud to announce the opening of a state-of-the-art digital 3D theater at the Discovery Times Square Exposition in New York City. The digital 3D theater opened in conjunction with AEI’s blockbuster King Tutankhamen exhibition and will feature the film Mummies 3D: Secrets of the Pharaohs, the official companion film produced by D3D’s sister company Giant Screen Films in 2007. The King Tut exhibition was brought to NYC by exhibit promoters Running Subway.
“We are thrilled to be working with AEI and Running Subway on this exciting theater launch in the heart of New York City,” said Andy Wood, Sr. Vice President for D3D Cinema. “The capture rate for the film from the exhibit in the opening few weeks has been spectacular, and we expect this to continue throughout the peak spring and summer season.”
With Running Subway opening AEI’s highly anticipated Cleopatra exhibition in Times Square immediately after Tut 2011, Mummies 3D will be a staple feature at the theater for over a year.
