D3D was proud to partner with the Mashantucket Pequot Museum and Research Center in Connecticut this past Spring to provide a generational upgrade to the former 70mm theater where they have presented their signature film The Witness since 1998. A painstaking restoration and digitization has given new life to the 30-minute film, which graphically dramatizes the events surrounding the Pequot War of the late 1630s. Longtime museum staff report visitors are being awed by the theater experience like never before – with the high-contrast 4K laser-illuminated system revealing new details in the stunning onscreen images. D3D also provided a second new digital 4K laser-illuminated projection system for the museum’s state-of-the-art 325-seat Auditorium, to facilitate an eclectic mix of museum programming and provide flexible and deep audio-visual capabilities for a busy private event space.
Another longstanding D3D partner and production coalition member for the T. REX film, the NM Museum of Natural History & Science has upgraded its giant DynaTheater to a state of the art 4K laser solution with 5.1 audio. D3D is pleased to welcome them into the Cinéfolio subscription program.

An entire generation came of age with the indescribable awe of landing on the Moon — and the ensuing Golden Age of Space has changed our world forever for the better. More than 50 years later, what is the next step for humankind? A second golden age of space has quietly dawned on us, with new hope for humanity as a spacefaring species.
In the quest to make human spaceflight accessible within in a decade, not a century, and ultimately affordable to ordinary citizens, leading innovators, entrepreneurs, engineers, and daredevils are locked in a race into the unknown. From self-assembling habitats, commercial space stations, launching rockets without fuel to building the Lunar Gateway to deep space, history is in the making as we speak.
Space: The New Frontier captures a time as epic as the Giant Screen, and as real as our present moment. Come aboard: life on earth or in space will not be the same again.
Dark Universe was developed by the American Museum of Natural History, New York. Based on authentic data from NASA and European Space Agency missions, ground-based telescopes, supercomputer simulations, and research conducted at institutions around the globe, this film covers a colossal topic: cosmology, the study of the universe. Dark Universe examines the last 100 years of discoveries, including the existence of multiple galaxies in the universe; that the universe is expanding from a hot, dense state; and that normal matter—the atoms that we are made of—isa tiny minority of the mass and energy in the cosmos. Narrated by Neil deGrasse Tyson.
What is our place in the cosmos? In the American Museum of Natural History’s iconic giant screen film Passport to the Universe, this question is answered as visitors travel through the observable universe to explore our “cosmic address.” In an unforgettable experience, cutting-edge science creates images of unprecedented realism and accuracy as viewers begin to understand the true enormity of the cosmos. Captivating explanation of fundamental cosmology, Passport to the Universe is an “evergreen” presentation—always relevant, always educationally important, always illuminating. Narrated by Tom Hanks.
Narrated by Academy Award-winner Lupita Nyong’o, Worlds Beyond Earth takes viewers on an exhilarating journey through our solar system, based on real scientific data from groundbreaking space missions.
Featuring immersive visualizations, the film showcases the Moon’s cratered surface, the rings of Saturn, and distant worlds with active volcanoes and hidden oceans. Created by the American Museum of Natural History, Worlds Beyond Earth celebrates the Age of Exploration while highlighting the unique conditions that make life on Earth possible.
